Rubber Tire Suspension
![]() |
MAULDIN rubber tire pavers are unmatched in proven performance and reliability. Traction is maximized by using a wide stance air tire, which is filled with a foam-rubber compound. This provides an absorbing type of suspension not available from a solid tire. The foam-rubber compound ensures that you have no leakages or flats, just continuous top notch performance. Where solid tires have a tendency to dig into the base material, MAULDIN rubber tire pavers have the best flotation characteristics available. |
Crawler Track Suspension - Self Cleaning

| MAULDIN crawler track pavers feature a true crawler track design. The heavy duty track chain is direct driven by a large diameter, rear mounted, drive sprocket. The front mounted, large diameter, idler sprocket is mounted into the undercarriage with an adjustable, spring take-up, tensioning device. The crawler track chain rolls smoothly under permanently sealed, excavator style, track rollers. These permanently sealed track rollers provide lifetime lubrication, and that means no maintenance for you. MAULDIN crawler track pavers, with true, positive sprocket to chain drive, have the most mechanically sound undercarriages available, maximizing your up-time compared to friction, (wheel-in-track), drive systems. Non-marking rubber and polyurethane bolt-on pads are available on both 550E and 690E, this economical factory option provides superior surface traction. |
Screed

|
MAULDIN screeds are the heaviest screeds available for this size of paver. Finished mats, laid by MAULDIN pavers, are the most densely compacted available. Independent leading and trailing crown/invert control allows the operator to adjust one without effecting the other. This enables the operator to remove streaking from the center or outside edges of the mat.

550E and 690E are standard equipped with economical gasoline fueled engines, and both are offered with the most powerful diesel fueled engines in their class. A hydrostatic double pump, dedicating one pump to each the right and left drives, provides smooth handling of speed and direction with counter rotation capabilities. An auxiliary pump, piggybacked off of the main double pump, provides hydraulic power to all other functions without disrupting operation of the main pumps. |
