What sets compact excavators apart from larger excavators and tractor-loader-backhoes is their ability to do offset digging, to maneuver and reposition quickly. Their relatively small size allows them to be moved from jobsite to jobsite with smaller trucks and trailers. The 360-degree rotating cab and independent boom swing allow you to dig a square hole the width of the machine without moving the excavator. This feature drastically reduces the need to reposition your machine during large excavations. The independent boom swing allows for offset digging (A) around obstacles or alongside structures and reduces repositioning time. The low machine weight means Bobcat excavators can often be transported (B) with a pickup truck and small trailer. And the compact size allows use inside buildings (C) with 8 ft. door openings. |
